Mais une fois cette \u00e9tape pass\u00e9e,\u00a0on comprend tout l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat du propos : comprendre l&rsquo;ex\u00e9g\u00e8se juive, c&rsquo;est aussi comprendre et la m\u00e9thode d&rsquo;interpr\u00e9tation qu&rsquo;on rencontre parfois dans le Nouveau Testament pour expliquer\u00a0la Bible h\u00e9bra\u00efque (sur le sujet, voyez \u00e9galement l&rsquo;excellent <a title=\"Le peuple Juif et ses Saintes \u00c9critures dans la Bible chr\u00e9tienne\" href=\"http:\/\/areopage.net\/blog\/2013\/10\/18\/le-peuple-juif-et-ses-saintes-ecritures-dans-la-bible-chretienne\/\"><em>Le peuple juif et ses Saintes \u00c9critures dans la Bible chr\u00e9tienne<\/em><\/a> de la Commission Biblique Pontificale ; \u00e9d. imprim\u00e9e, 2001, sp\u00e9cialement pp.34 sq.). Les plus courantes dans le NT sont essentiellement tir\u00e9es des <em>middoth<\/em> de <a title=\"Hillel, un sage au temps de J\u00e9sus (Hadas-Lebel, 1999)\" href=\"http:\/\/areopage.net\/blog\/2014\/03\/08\/hillel-un-sage-au-temps-de-jesus-hadas-lebel-1999\/\">Hillel<\/a>, le <em>qal wa-homer<\/em> (argument a fortiori) et \u00a0la <em>gezerah shawah<\/em> (argument par analogie), cf. 1992 : <strong>17-18<\/strong>, 2001 : <strong>37<\/strong>. Je rel\u00e8ve \u00e0 titre de curiosit\u00e9 p.<strong>24<\/strong> l&rsquo;expression \u05dc\u05e9\u05de\u05d9\u05dd, qu&rsquo;on pourrait\u00a0rendre\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0pour l&rsquo;amour de Dieu\u00a0\u00bb (litt. <em>par les cieux<\/em>), et o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on reconnait bien \u00e9videmment une circonvolution pour le Nom divin, \u00a0qui rappelle le royaume <em>des cieux<\/em> matth\u00e9en. Int\u00e9ressantes \u00e9galement, les difficult\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la P\u00e2ques lors du sabbat (pp.<strong> 41-46<\/strong>), ainsi que\u00a0les m\u00e9thodes\u00a0ex\u00e9g\u00e9tiques employ\u00e9es. L&rsquo;ouvrage ne couvre pas seulement\u00a0la litt\u00e9rature tanna\u00eftique, mais aborde \u00e9galement &#8211; rapidement, il est vrai &#8211; celle de Jos\u00e8phe (p. <strong>183<\/strong> sq.), celle de Qumr\u00e2n en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral (p.<strong>187<\/strong> sq.), ou encore celle de Philon (p.<strong>198<\/strong> sq.). Dans\u00a0l&rsquo;opposition entre l&rsquo;\u00e9cole de Hillel et celle de Shamma\u00ef (que j&rsquo;ai \u00e9voqu\u00e9e <a title=\"Hillel, un sage au temps de J\u00e9sus (Hadas-Lebel, 1999)\" href=\"http:\/\/areopage.net\/blog\/2014\/03\/08\/hillel-un-sage-au-temps-de-jesus-hadas-lebel-1999\/\">ici<\/a>), l&rsquo;ex\u00e9g\u00e8se \u00e9tait bien \u00e9videmment de mise, et l&rsquo;on remarque avec grand int\u00e9r\u00eat combien le raisonnement humain est mis en exergue : sans exclure l&rsquo;influence de l&rsquo;esprit saint de Dieu, il n&rsquo;est point question de trancher une question par un recours au surnaturel\u00a0car<strong>\u00a01)<\/strong> la voix proph\u00e9tique s&rsquo;est \u00e9teinte, on le tient pour acquis (Tosefta, <i>So\u1e6da<\/i>, 13, 3 ; voir <a href=\"http:\/\/poj.peeters-leuven.be\/content.php?id=2047039&amp;url=article\">ici<\/a>), et <strong>2)<\/strong> m\u00eame si une\u00a0voix divine se fait ou faisait entendre (la fameuse <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jewishencyclopedia.com\/articles\/2651-bat-kol\">Bat Qol<\/a>), ce serait\u00a0un tort de l&rsquo;invoquer&#8230; On per\u00e7oit ainsi la m\u00e9fiance vis-\u00e0-vis de la \u00ab\u00a0mystique\u00a0\u00bb, et une grande confiance dans\u00a0les capacit\u00e9s de l&rsquo;homme \u00e0 interpr\u00e9ter les textes sacr\u00e9s (cf. pp.<strong>218-219<\/strong>). David Inner Brewer conclut son ouvrage avec les 7 r\u00e8gles de Hillel et leur explication (ainsi que celle de Eliezer b.Jose haGelili) : c&rsquo;est assur\u00e9ment tr\u00e8s pratique (pp.<strong>226-231<\/strong>). Il est vrai, ces d\u00e9bats ne sont pas de tout repos, et la\u00a0logique peut surprendre en bien des endroits. Mais c&rsquo;est\u00a0utile pour se figurer les\u00a0m\u00e9thodes qui avaient cours \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de J\u00e9sus, et qui se rencontrent occasionnellement dans le NT. A ne pas rater. On excusera la coquille p. 117 \u03ba\u03c5\u0301<strong>\u03c0<\/strong>\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 pour \u03ba\u03c5\u0301<strong>\u03c1<\/strong>\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2. Joosten est sp\u00e9cialement louable pour sa prudence sur le sujet (pp.<strong>116-118<\/strong>), et il nuance fort \u00e0 propos les hypoth\u00e8ses de Pietersma (que je trouve tir\u00e9es par les cheveux, <a title=\"\u0399\u0313\u03b1\u03c9\u0301, \u03b8\u03b5\u03bf\u0301\u03c2, \u03ba\u03c5\u0301\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 ?
